Movie set decor, set decorators, and how to "Get that Look"

Please note that I post all images and resources that I have come across for each movie. If I have not listed it, it means I don't know it. You are welcome to post a comment if you are looking for a specific product or resource that I haven't mentioned. Perhaps someone will know the answer and that will help all of us!

WHAT PAINT COLOR WAS THAT?
On the specific topic of paint colors - I almost never know the specific paint colors used on movie or tv sets. And, as I always tell people, the images we see are filmed under bright artificial lighting which almost certainly alters how a specific color looks. In other words, it will likely not look the same in your own home. Take inspiration from a movie set, but try to find a color that works best in your own home.

Something's Gotta Give - Get that rug!

My friend Jerry at Aspen Carpet Designs has let me know that he's got two of his "Something's Gotta Give"- inspired blue and white stripe flat weave rugs for sale on Ebay! Here's a chance to really get the look of everyone's favorite living room at a great price! Both of these rugs have minor blemishes - hence the great price.

This 9'x12' rug is available here on Ebay.This rug has a 1-1/2" frayed part along the side. See the listing for details.

And this Ocean Blue and White striped 9'x12' rug is available here on Ebay. This has a small very small dark spot along one edge. See the listing for details.

Amber said...: Hi,I have been trying to find the sofa that is featured in the living room of Holly Kennedy's apartment in "PS, I love you." I have seen a similar one in the CB2 catalog, but this one is a different color. It could be re-upholstered though.
